Topping Twitter’s already abbreviated brevity, the Webby Awards have shortened acceptance speeches to 5 words the past few years. With several sub categories within four main categories (Websites, Interactive Advertising, Film/Video and Mobile) to highlight current internet stardom, the Webbys keep it short and sweet. Arianna Huffington called out to her readers to help her out with her speech and I suggested ‘The web be the way.’ Get it? She didn’t. She chose: ‘I didn’t kill newspapers… Okay?’
